 Therapy Online

Why Virtual Therapy?

2020 has brought a rise to virtual services but they’ve been around much longer. Some known benefits to services online are:

  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • Convenience
  • Save time from commuting to and from appointments
  • Eliminates fears of running into others in waiting area of therapy office
  • Increased comfortable in a familiar setting which allows for more vulnerability

Getting Started Virtually

After we’ve talked in the free consultation and determined we are a match and virtual therapy is a good fit for you, you’ll schedule your first appointment. You’ll be emailed a link to fill out electronic intake paperwork and forms to electronically sign at your convenience before your first appointment. We’ll go over these in your first appointment.

For your virtual session you will need:

  • A comfortable, quiet and private space such as an office or room that you can be alone in (parked car can work as well)
  • A device to use – smart phone, tablet, laptop or personal desktop computer with access to a microphone, webcam, and speakers
  • A fast and reliable Internet connection
  • Be located in the state of Oregon or Washington

You may want to have:

  • Water, tea, cocoa or coffee
  • Blanket, sweater or hoodie for warmth while sitting still
  • Something small to fidget with (silly putty and polished stones work well)

About 36 hours ahead you’ll be emailed the link for the appointment and n the day of your appointment you will be sent a reminder to connect to my HIPAA-compliant and confidential video platform. And then it’s therapy time!
